The Small Business Development Center should be your first stop whether you’re planning a new business or looking for guidance or ideas in expanding a current business.  We can assist you in attaining your goals through a variety of services and resources that we have to offer.  Click on the classifications below for more information:

Counseling

Consultants will assist you to develop or improve any aspect of your business. If starting up a business they will provide you assistance in preparing your business plan and loan application.  Consultation services are available in York and Union Counties.

Training

Training workshops on several subjects are sponsored by the SBDC.  Business Start-Up workshops and Tax Accounting workshops are examples of some of the sessions offered by our consultants. See our Calendar for upcoming dates.  We have also begun to offer “Getting Your Business Online” workshops for existing businesses in need of an Internet presence for local (city,county,state) customers to find them in searches. This is a new workshop and combined service we provide for local business owners who need a site for getting listed in search engines, but can’t afford hundreds or thousands of dollars to pay a web designer.  Click here for more information on this service.

Information provision

Timely and accurate information can be found in our entrepreneur library, including manuals containing complete business plans for specific business types.   Additionally, we can provide forms or other public information on business taxes, and provide guidelines to use as you apply for funding.
