Where do I get a business license?
If your business will be located in unincorporated areas of York County, SC, you will not need a business license; but you will need to have a site plan approval/zoning approval from the York County Planning and Development Services Department. To go to the Planning Department:
From Charlotte, take I-77 South to Exit 82B to Cherry Road (Hwy 21), travel approximately 5 miles, turn right onto Heckle Boulevard (Hwy 901), the York County Government Complex is approximately 1/4 mile on the right. Take the first turn to the left and our offices will be on the right, in buildings 105, 106, and 107.
From Columbia, take I-77 North to Exit 73 (Hwy 901); go left off the ramp and follow 901 to the light cross over Highway 72 and turn left at the next light onto Heckle Blvd. (Hwy 901) and go approximately 3 miles, the York County Complex is on the right. Take the first turn to the left and our offices will be on the right, in buildings 105, 106, and 107.
